Bad day

Today has been a bad day. To keep my mind busy, I've been drawing in Illustrator which resulted in this poster. It seemed suitable for a day like this.

IKEA icon

My mother has told me a million times about the first time she and her sisters went to IKEA. I think it was in the early 60s. They bought one thing each, and my aunt bought the table Lovet. She still has it, and I've always loved its simple and beautiful design. So I was thrilled when I read that IKEA will start producing and selling the table again this fall, under the new name Lovbacken. I can't wait!

This is Copenhagen

There isn't much happening in the world of design right now. It almost feels like everyone has gone on vacation. Which means there isn't much to blog about either. But when I saw this print on Bungalow5, I knew I had to show you. I love that it is a new take on the old posters that illustate various cities. Just a few words that capture the atmosphere of Copenhagen. Minimalistic and beautiful! It's made by Seda and Seyda Özcetin, and sold on MUNK.

Tiger of Sweden

When I saw these pictures from the Black jeans collection by Tiger of Sweden from the fall of 2012, I was so inspired that I'm even thinking of printing them and putting them on my walls!

Bloomingville autumn/winter 2013

It's summer now, and I'm sure many of you don't want to think about autumn. But when I looked at Bloomingville's autumn/winter collection, I couldn't help but long for the fall. Cozy sheepskins and lots of candle lights. But first, summer!

Today's inspiration

I've fallen in love with this apartment in Gothenburg that's up for sale. I especially love the door, used as a bookshelf! How brilliant is that?
