I've been happily enjoying the holidays...
I can't believe that it's over already. I hope you all had a great Christmas! Now time for some sleep before our trip to Bruges over the New Year's weekend. What are your plans for New Year's Eve?

The SCAR Project
This month it's Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and it's important to remember that breast cancer is so much more than a Pink Ribbon. I commend The SCAR Project for raising awareness and paying tribute to the courage of so many young women. Fashion photographer David Jay's beautiful portraits of young breast cancer survivors is an amazing testament to strength and inner beauty.

Long time no see
I can’t believe it’s been so long since I’ve even logged into this blog. With me starting a new education and trying to find a place to live, I just don’t have the time right now to keep it up. And yet I’m always coming across articles and pictures that I would like to share with you. Like these wonderful pictures that I found on Emma's designblog styled by Helene Kofoed Sørensen.

IKEA + Vintage
I'm in love with this new storage series from IKEA. The Kvarnvik boxes are simple, yet so elegant, and would be a perfect solution to my storage problems in my (hopefully soon) new studio apartment.

Norrgavel
I hope that you haven't stopped visiting my blog, even if my presence here has been poor. With autumn fast approaching and the darker nights drawing in, warm and cosy interiors become more important. It's always fun to see what autumn has to offer when it comes to interior design. The Swedish furniture company Norrgavel, has captured the essence of the Swedish autumn in their new catalogue, and I love it.

Compact living in Copenhagen
This is compact living at its best. I love the black chairs and gorgeous art wall. The different frames work perfectly together thanks to the black and white motifs.

Autumn
The summer is coming to an end, and even if August can be as sunny and warm as July, autumn is just around the corner. With everything that has happened in Norway, and with everything happening in London and Africa, it's important that we show our support, and help our friends around the world. My heart goes out to you!

I'm alive
I guess some of you are wondering if I'm still alive. Yes, I am! I've been busy looking for a job, an apartment and trying to enjoy summer. However, when I stumbled over this beautiful bedroom, I knew I had to show you. I love the soft colour scheme and the gorgeous wooden bench. And white wooden floors are a definite must in my new apartment.

I heart vintage
I found this gorgeous picture on Pinterest today, and I just had to show you. I especially love the exposed brick wall, the mirrors and the industrial lights.

Summer
There are so many things I'd rather do during the summer, than to sit inside in front of the computer. Therefore I will probably not be blogging as frequently. But I will blog as often as I can, and if I find something inspiring, I promise I will let you know.

A quick hello
My internet has been down for almost a week, but finally it's working again. I have so much I want to share with you, but I also have over a hundred emails to read, so today all I have time for is this inspiring picture. Love the shelves! Talk to you tomorrow!

Black and white
Even if colours can lift your mood, black and white always looks beautiful.
Have a lovely Tuesday!

Wall mounted log holder
If you're lucky enough to have a fireplace and would like a stylish alternative for storing your logs, then maybe this might be an idea? This wall mounted log holder from Nestor Martin combines modern design and functionality, and I think it's gorgeous!

The Burning House
If your house was burning, what would you take with you? In the blog The Burning house, we get a glimpse into peoples lives, based solely on this question. What you would bring with you reflects who you are, and it's so much fun trying to imagine the person behind all these things.
If my house was burning I would definitely save my family first, but I would also bring my laptop, old photos, the jewellery I inherited from my grandmother, a teddy bear I had as a child and could never sleep without, letters from friends that makes me smile, my embarrassing diaries from when I was a teenager and a ring given to me by my boyfriend. I would try to save as much as possible, but these are the things I could not do without.
What about you? I would really like to hear what you would bring if your house was on fire. What are the things closest to your heart?

Table setting inspiration
Frida, who runs the lovely blog Trendenser, has an impeccable eye for interior design, and today she shows her readers how to put together a beautiful but simple table setting. I love the idea of using old newspapers as table mats, and the folded paper used for serving snacks. And the idea of using fresh herbs instead of flowers is just brilliant! See more pictures here.

Mirror, mirror on the wall
I love this idea with text on a mirror. Write a positive statement, and repeat it every day. Or write your wedding vows on it, as a memento of your wedding. It could even be a perfect wedding gift.

A picnic
I wouldn't say no to a picnic this weekend. If you don't have time to prepare any food, just bring a nice loaf of crusty bread, some French cheeses and a bottle of wine, and you're good to go.

I just love this hallway! So simple, but yet so beautiful. I love the colour of the rug and the gorgeous stool, but most of all I love the Moroccan tiles.

A soft palette
I love the soft colours in this picture. The purple and the grey work so well together, and is one of my favourite colour combinations right now.
